BMW E-Scooter – new electric concept

The technology, dubbed E-Scooter, the Bavarian manufacturer is positioned as environmentally-friendly two-wheeled transport with enhanced functionality. The company’s specialists considered unfair by the fact that modern electric scooter primarily designed for use in the city, as they have engines of low power and low power reserve. According to the authors the new BMW E-Scooter will move over longer distances and, in general, the approach to performance data to modern comfortable tourist models with internal combustion engines.

Electric E-Scooter unit can dynamically over clock the machine from a standstill to 60 km / h. Time to speed limits in urban areas is comparable to the acceleration time 600-bottoms gasoline counterpart. In this range of up to the next recharge is over 100 km. It is also interesting that the batteries require a connection to conventional household power without any additional hardware. The process of replenishment of battery power from zero to full in less than three hours.

Notable is the fact that the concept has no bearing frame, which we used to see her in the case of maxi scooters equipped with internal combustion engines. The role of the frame is aluminum chassis battery, which carries all the other design elements. The engine is located behind the battery and is equipped with energy recovery. The latter allows you to increase performance by 10-20%. Nutrition electronic tracking and control systems is carried out by an independent battery, which allows to obtain the necessary information in the charging process or when the main battery fully discharged. The power unit is cooled by liquid cooled, while cooling themselves battery – air.
