SUZUKI RGB500 GRAND PRIX RACER
The 1980 MotoGP season saw Suzuki win their fifth consecutive 500cc Constructors’ World Championship with the RGB500. It was powered by a water-cooled 2-cylinder 495cc engine that produced over 110hp, which was also called the square-4 engine due to the angle of the cylinder positions. In addition, the RGB500 adopted an original system such as the anti nose diving system which prevented the front suspension from lowering during braking and a full-floater rear suspension. 1980 saw three Suzuki works teams from England, Italy, and Holland racing the RGB500 that went on to record four victories that year.
