2013 Kawasaki ZX-10R

KAWASAKI'S ZX-10R has undergone an update for 2013 with the main obvious change being a new white colour for the US market, however, Kawasaki haven't just cracked open a paint tin.

The original model is fitted with an Öhlins steering damper and, unfortunately, as is the case with most production bikes fitted with Öhlins, it doesn't live up to the standards you'd expect from The Original Gold.

The stock Öhlins damper lacks power and the adjustability makes next to no difference. The 2013 model changes that. It now has an electronic Ohlins steering damper - which looks almost identical - and is controlled by a dedicated ECU. The damper's ECU varys the unit's damping based on acceleration, deceleration and rear wheel speed.

The white is calledPearl Flat White but don't worry, Lime Green will still be available.

No word from Kawasaki UK yet, but we expect it to be around £200 more than the current model which retails at £11,999 and £12,999 for the ABS model.
